Existence Bhayangkara University (UBHARA) Surabaya in global education began in 2010 and has now been able to talk a lot in the international world. International seminar activity, guest lectures, research and community service in the banks have become a permanent agenda. Delivery of students, lecturers and teaching abroad in international classes have been attended by students who received Superior Scholarships or “Beasiswa Unggulan” (BU) recipients and students of UBHARA Surabaya both domestic and international scholarships. Cooperation with some universities in Thailand and India have walked in the joint degree and dual degree programs.
In order to provide motivation, open up opportunities for cooperation with overseas universities has now organized a seminar with the theme "Opportunities to study abroad" Saturday, May 31, 2014 10.00 AM at Graha Bhayangkara, (UBHARA) Surabaya. The main speakers were Dr. Eng. Son Kuswandi (Education Attache, Embassy of Indonesia in New Delhi India) and Dr. Gautam Kumar Jha (Lecturer in Jawaharlal Nehru University India), and Sari Damayanti Sitompul, S.Kom (Managing Director BU Scholarship, Bureau of Planning International Cooperation BPKLN, Ministry of Education and Culture).
This event was held in cooperation with between UBHARA Surabaya and BPKLN Ministry of Education and Culture. Seminar was opened by Dr. Rector. Suharto, Drs, SH, M. Hum (Rector UBHARA Surabaya). attended by the chairman of board East Java Regional Foundation Brata Bhakti or Yayasan Brata Bhakti Daerah Jawa-Timur (YBBDJ). Seminar also followed by UBHARA Surabaya students and international class student representatives from universities and senior high school students from Surabaya and Sidoarjo. In his presentation, education attache in New Delhi India Dr. Eng. Son Kuswandi, study said there are still many opportunities to study in India, so far India has not been a major goal study for bachelor, master, and Ph.D scholarship programs. However opportunities to study in India also available so much, therefore Dr. Eng Kuswadi said still wide opening Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with some universities in India. Hopefully, through this seminar, he hoped UBHARA Surabaya can initiate MoU with Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) India (mir_lks).
